Yara wins order for 2 ro-ro ships

Recently, Yara Marine Technologies received an order from Toll Shipping for the mixing of two ro-ro ships in the Jinling Shipyard.

It is reported that the first of the two new ships will be delivered in 2018. The ship will be equipped with two 10.2MW MAN B&W engines, each with an exhaust gas cleaning system. After delivery, two new vessels will operate on the environmentally sensitive Australian coast, and the scrubber will help minimize the environmental impact of the new vessel, including the use of membrane technology to reduce sludge transport and pump frequency converters, thereby reducing energy consumption. These scrubbers use magnesium oxide as a cleaning agent, which is more economical and safer than caustic soda.
