Atmospheric environmental load of the "High Score V" satellite passed the on-orbit test review

[ China Instrument Network Instrument Development ] On the morning of December 21st, the core load carried by the Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Anhui Hefei Institute of Material Science, carried on the "High Score 5" satellite - differential absorption of atmospheric trace gases Spectrometer (EMI), Atmospheric Major Greenhouse Gas Monitor (GMI) and Atmospheric Aerosol Multi-Angle Polarization Detector (DPC) have passed the in-orbit test summary review organized by the Environmental Satellite Project Office of the 8th Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The three payloads were successfully launched on May 9th with the "High Score Five" satellite, and the start-up imaging was achieved. Among them, the atmospheric trace gas differential absorption spectrometer (EMI) has realized the switching of the nadir, quartz diffuse reflector calibration, aluminum diffuse reflector calibration, lamp pixel detection, etc. The atmospheric main greenhouse gas monitor (GMI) has been completed. Atmospheric aerosol, multi-angle polarization imager (DPC) has been switched to the ocean working mode.
At present, the atmospheric trace gas differential absorption spectrometer (EMI) is the highest spectral resolution in the domestic UV and visible bands. It is the first time in China to obtain the global distribution of atmospheric trace gases such as nitrogen dioxide. The results of international similar satellite OMI are consistent. The greenhouse gas spectral data obtained by the atmospheric main greenhouse gas monitor (GMI) is consistent with the observations of the international satellite GOSAT. The Atmospheric Aerosol Multi-Angle Polarization Detector (DPC) acquires multi-spectral and multi-angle polarized images, and successfully inverts global aerosol and optical aerosol products on the land and ocean and cloud phase classification products. It is the only in-orbit operational in the world. A satellite remote sensor that uses a polarization technique to detect aerosols.
In November, as the first satellite remote sensing load of atmospheric pollution gas, the atmospheric trace gas differential absorption spectrometer (EMI) load participated in the environmental air quality assurance work of the first China International Import Expo, and accurately obtained the temporal and spatial distribution of pollutants through satellite remote sensing observation. The information provides scientific basis and technical support for the air quality assurance decision of the Expo.
During the review, the test team conducted the on-orbit test for more than six months in accordance with the requirements of the “High-point No. 5 satellite engineering on-track test specification”, confirming that all the three load indicators meet or exceed the technical requirements of the test specifications. The performance is stable, and the return data has the production capacity of atmospheric related products, which has been well received by users.
In the future, the three atmospheric detection loads will quickly and accurately acquire information on the sensitive components of the Earth's atmosphere, and improve the comprehensive satellite observation level of polluted gases, greenhouse gases and particulate matter pollution in China, in environmental protection, monitoring, supervision, emergency, evaluation, planning, etc. Play a role.
