Seco introduces a newly designed thread turning tool

Seco recently introduced a newly designed threaded tool holder and a new set of threaded inserts. The newly developed HD-type toolholders offer the best clamping capacity for longer tool life and higher machining accuracy. The new shank features a carbide pin on the back of the insert that is extremely resistant to wear and prevents the blade from rotating or warping during processing. To increase the rigidity of the insert and the shank, Seco also produced a new D-shaped platen that can be pressed into the insert seat.
To make threading easier and more economical to process, Seco designed a new line of universal threaded inserts. The model number is marked with the letter A and is the first choice for machining all types of threads on steel and stainless steel workpieces. This new range of single-head threaded inserts complements Seco's A1 chipbreaker specifically designed for machining steel and A2 chipbreakers for machining stainless steel. (A2 is also used to better control the optimized processing of chips.
