Hyundai Motors Considers Establishing Fourth Factory in China

Geely Automobile News According to Reuters, Hyundai Motor Co., the top car maker in South Korea, said on April 20 that the company is considering setting up its fourth factory in China to continue expanding in the world’s largest auto market.

Hyundai Motor Company spokesman said: "We are considering the construction of a new factory in China, but at present there is no decision on the time to build the plant and the factory's capacity."

It is reported that the foundation of the third plant jointly established by Hyundai Motor and Beijing Automobile Company in China was held on November 28, 2010. The plant will be completed and put into production in 2012, and the annual production capacity will reach 300,000 units in one phase. Car and 200,000 engines.

In 2010, Hyundai Motor's Beijing-based joint venture company Beijing Hyundai Motor Sales reached 703,000 vehicles throughout the year, while Hyundai Kia’s total vehicle sales in the Chinese market reached 1.093 million.
