Gilrigg is a leading large vehicle manufacturer in the United States. It has been established for 127 years and is headquartered in Livermore, Calif., and has independent product development, manufacturing and assembly capabilities. Its products are based on the market with excellent quality and high cost performance. The conference was held at the Cummins booth. Derek Maunus, president of Gilrig, and Amy Boerger, vice president of Cummins, responsible for sales in North America attended the joint conference.

Maunus said: "Gilrigg and Cummins have a solid business relationship. Under the new technology partnership, we will further synergize the technical resources of both parties and seek common development to deliver the most comprehensive and advanced pure electric vehicles to the market and customers. Our design relies on the decades-old technology accumulation of both parties in the field of large buses. This integrated technology will be applied to Gillinger’s industry-leading vehicle platform.”

"The Cummins electric assembly displayed at this time marks a major advancement in the industry. We are very pleased that Girrig was the first to apply this important zero-emissions technology. At the same time, this cooperation will deepen the technical exchanges between both sides and accelerate System integration and performance optimization will further advance the entire industry,” Boerger said at the press conference.

The initial research and development goal of the cooperation between the two parties is to achieve a 200-mile (320 km) battery life for an electric vehicle. This model will be equipped with a direct-drive motor with a peak torque of 3,500 Nm. The regenerative braking system can be used for energy recovery. The electronic accessories package will be driven by the Cummins system. The first batch of vehicles will use plug-in charging devices.

The cooperation between the two parties is not limited to technological development. When the Gilrigg electric bus is put into operation, the cooperation will go deep into 7*24 hours of all-weather service support, fault diagnosis, wireless interconnection services, flexible claims plans and related training programs. . Cummins attaches equal importance to customer support systems and technology development, and a strong service support system will become a significant competitive advantage after the introduction of electric systems.

Cummins currently uses its extensive product line (including clean diesel, quasi zero-emission natural gas , and diesel-electric hybrid) to power Gillinger's various models. In the new environment, some customers hope to continue to maintain the existing vehicle and service support of Girrig while introducing zero-emission vehicles, and the Cummins electric system can exactly meet this demand.

Since the 1950s, Cummins has worked with Gillinger to continuously introduce new vehicle power solutions. This cooperation will also advance the business relationship between the two parties to the new era of electric vehicles.

The product can be equipped with various materials at a time, and all information related to batching accuracy and speed is set on the computer interface, and it can be automatically corrected at any time in operation.

The computer batching scale takes the high line computer as the ingredient host, and integrates the control, management and optimization. The performance is superior.
