Xinlianxin has invested millions in the development of slow-release urea

Recently, Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Fertilizer Co., Ltd. and the Hefei Institute of Material Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences signed an agreement to invest 10 million yuan in research and development to jointly develop slow-release urea fertilizers.

The slow-release technology aims to preserve the urea nitrogen in the soil, and the use of slow-release fertilizers can improve fertilization efficiency and increase crop yield and quality. In addition, slow-release fertilizers are also more environmentally friendly because they are less leached and evaporated than conventional fertilizers. According to tests conducted by the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences in Henan, Shandong, and Anhui, it is expected that nitrogen emissions will be 50% slower than conventional urea, reduce the required urea use by approximately 20%, and reduce the environmental emissions by approximately 30%.

Liu Xingxu, chairman of Xinlianxin, said that the slow-release fertilizer industry currently accounts for only a small proportion of the overall fertilizer market and is expected to enter a period of rapid development during the 12th Five-Year Plan period.
