U.S. wants to control oil to win over China against OPEC

In the energy strategy dialogue, the game of interests between countries has gradually escalated. The Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Bardrey, said recently that although the international oil price has exceeded US$129 per barrel, the international crude oil market still has “supply”. Interestingly, U.S. President Bush arrived in Riyadh, the Saudi Arabian capital, urging him to increase oil production. What is more, the United States even invites China, which is a big oil demanding country, to join the International Energy Agency in order to increase its bargaining power with OPEC. According to the analysis, before Bush had repeatedly urged OPEC to increase production, it had little effect. However, Saudi Arabia, an important member of OPEC and the world’s largest oil producer, is an ally of the United States. Perhaps Bush thinks it can influence it. However, Saudi Arabia has not yet stated its position on the issue of production. In the past, the country had repeatedly urged OPEC to increase production despite the opposition of other member states. People with discerning eyes know that such an insignificant rate of increase is a real pay-off for the current international oil market. It is none other than Saudi Arabia is using a "relative gentleman" approach to perfunctory visitors from Washington. For controlling the world crude oil production, each oil producing country has always had its own wishful thinking. In the foreseeable period of time, the major international fuel consumers headed by the United States have not yet continued to suffer from the high oil prices.
