This marks the official launch of deep cooperation between Xichai and Xiwo.

According to Qian Hengrong, director of FAW Jiefang Xichai Plant, in the truck market, under the same conditions, heavy trucks fitted with Xichai engines cost 10,000 to 20,000 yuan more than models equipped with other brand engines, and the users have already accepted it.
In recent years, FAW Xichai has adjusted its strategy in the passenger car engine market. Instead of pursuing a quantitative scale, it tries to shape the brand and shift from product marketing to brand marketing. The high-end positioning of FAW Xichai in the truck market will also be gradually transplanted into the bus market. Qian Hengrong stated that Xiwo is a high-end passenger car brand. The cooperation with Xiwo provided a good carrier for Xichai Aowei's brand influence in the field of passenger cars. It has promoted and led the way and helped establish the high-end power brand image of Xichai Bus.
Xiwo is in a strategic transition period and has been sticking to the high-end passenger car market, seeking quality and quantity. In order to better adapt to the needs of the Chinese market, Xiwo hopes to adopt various measures to solve the problem of cost reduction and hardship, while not reducing manufacturing standards, it will still produce passenger cars in accordance with the design requirements and technical level of Volvo Buses. The positioning of Xichai's "national brand, high-end power" is no doubt coincident with the original intention of Xiwo to develop its own brand in the context of joint ventures.
