The chlor-alkali industry has a large scale of by-products. In theory, it can support 2.43 million passenger cars. However, considering the regional distribution, transportation distance, period loss and hydrogen consumption of different models of chlor-alkali plants, the scale of hundreds of thousands of vehicles is not a big problem;
From the perspective of cost, the cost of chlor-alkali by-product hydrogen is also the lowest. Ex-factory price is between 1.3-1.5 yuan/Nm3. From the perspective of potential production, coal and petrochemical hydrogen production is huge, and the cost is within the acceptable range, but the initial investment is large. It will be a better choice after the downstream FCV is scaled up;
Electrolyzed water is the most convenient for hydrogen production, and is not affected by transportation distance. However, the cost depends on the cost of electricity. The current electricity price is calculated and the cost is high. In the future, wind power and photovoltaic and nuclear power abandonment are better choices. (If it is equivalent to the cost of a fuel vehicle, the electricity price is 0.31 yuan/kwh, and the price is as low as 0.22, the cost of use is 30% lower than that of a gasoline vehicle).
We believe that the supply of hydrogen itself is sufficient, but the low-cost hydrogen resources are scarce, so the chlor-alkali by-product hydrogen near the load center is the best choice and the most valuable resource; in the long run, renewable energy electrolyzed water Mixing liquid hydrogen transportation will be an excellent choice.
