Weichai vigorously promoted the Lean Six Sigma management method, which enabled many people in the industry to have an interest in corporate management.

To this end, the reporter interviewed relevant persons in charge of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. Dalian Diesel Engine Factory, FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd. Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory, and Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. and learned about the management methods implemented by these companies. . The Lean Six Sigma management project implemented by Weichai is one of many management projects. Experts pointed out that the most typical and effective management methods of the Fortune 500 companies are total quality management, benchmarking, and supply chain management. Sixteen Sigma management methods are used by many companies.

Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. implemented the Six Sigma management as early as 2003. The person in charge of the company’s production management department told reporters that the previous management of Six Sigma relies on experience and attention to the artistry of management, while Six Sigma emphasizes numbers and methods, and is more scientific and systematic.

The use of scientific and standardized management methods is to increase the economic efficiency of enterprises. When it comes to Lean Six Sigma management, Tan Xuguang, chairman of Weichai, pointed out that implementing the Lean Six Sigma management approach enables employees to actively perform and consciously work to form a culture. The most fundamental purpose of this management approach is to pursue efficiency. maximize.

In addition to Weichai and Dongfeng Cummins, several other companies have introduced advanced management methods, which have obvious effects on enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises.

FAW Dachai implemented Toyota TPS management. The responsible person of Dichai Production Management Department told the reporter: “In light of innovations in production management, Dichai first mobilized the enthusiasm of its employees, such as rewarding employees for rationalization proposals. Since 2004, D&C has implemented the TPS management method to incorporate all production-related aspects. The system will raise this management to the height of the theory and system. The effect of the TPS management method on improving enterprise efficiency and improving product quality is obvious.”

Management methods also need to adapt to local conditions

The person in charge of a company said that the introduction of management methods is necessary to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, but many companies in the country will inevitably encounter resistance when implementing these management methods. Therefore, companies adopt management methods and more or less adaptive development.

Since 2002, FAW Xichai has adopted the ISO/TS16949:2002 standard framework, combined with the characteristics of Xichai's institutional structure, focused on process reorganization, established a system of “management integration”, and has successively compiled the Xichai Management Manual and related The department management manual gradually establishes a system that is actually adapted to the factory.

Simple introduction does not necessarily result in satisfactory results. Li Hong, Minister of Quality of Dongfeng Cummins said: “After implementing the Six Sigma management system, the company has carried out many conceptual developments on this management method, making it more suitable for the actual situation of the company.”

Weichai placed greater emphasis on self-consciousness and creativity on the guiding ideology of implementing the Lean Six Sigma management approach, and emphasized Weichai's characteristics. Tan Xuguang pointed out: "In the first half of 2007, Weichai implemented 20 projects at Weichai headquarters and Chongqing Weichai, and encouraged other units to boldly initiate innovations. Process specifications must be combined with continuous innovation. Any process is continuous innovation, There is no static change in development and changes. We must actively adjust our working ideas and innovate on the basis of norms so as to improve our work standards."

Relevant experts told reporters that there are many well-known management methods. Only by combining this management method with the actual situation of enterprises and advancing with the times can we receive good results and can turn “Made in China” into “Created in China”.
