Garbage truck piston removal steps

Disassemble the piston as follows: drain the engine of the garbage truck. Remove the cylinder head from the cylinder block. Remove the oil pan and oil pump filter and main bearing cap reinforcement. Mark the cylinder number on all pistons, connecting rods and connecting rod covers with a pencil or quick-drying paint. Remove the connecting rod bearing cover. Install a rubber sheath on the threads of the connecting rod bolts to avoid damaging the journal bearings and connecting rod bolt threads when the connecting rod is removed. Before removing the piston from the cylinder, use a tool to remove the coke from the top of the cylinder. Push the piston and connecting rod out of the upper end of the cylinder.

When using a new cylinder, check the bore level on the rear side of the cylinder and select the same piston level. Finally select the same level of bore. Prior to installation, the piston rings should be carefully inspected and their models, specifications, and numbers should be checked. Piston rings and ring grooves should be kept clean. The rings should be painted with very little oil.

When installing the garbage truck piston ring by hand, place the piston ring flat on the piston ring expander seat and install the piston rings in sequence. At the same time, the marked side of the cylinder should face upwards. The opening positions of the rings should be staggered with each other so as to create a labyrinth passage to reduce the leakage of gas and oil. The position of the opening should be avoided in the direction of the piston pin and the direction of the lateral thrust. The assembly oil ring is generally installed by hand, and the opening portions of the scraper ring and the wiper ring spring cannot be on the axis of the piston pin. Adjust the pound code so that its two ends are balanced. The scale value corresponding to the pound code is the elastic force of the piston ring.
