Hualing Xianggang receives another 50,000 tons of offshore steel orders

It is reported that Hualing Xiangtan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. recently signed a supply contract for 50,000 tons of marine engineering steel, once again showing its competitive strength in this field. In recent years, the production capacity of medium and heavy plates in the market is far greater than the demand. Hualing Xianggang, which has a capacity of 5 million tons of wide and thick plates, has turned its technological equipment advantages into product advantages and made breakthroughs in high-end fields such as offshore steel.
In 2011, Hualing Xianggang set up the first provincial-level technical research center for steel and marine engineering in China, aiming to solve the common and key technical problems that restrict the development of high-quality steel in China, in order to change the key parts of ships and marine engineering. The steel plate has long relied on imports. In March of last year, Hualing Xianggang ultra-high-strength marine steel plate E550 and E690 were certified by four major classification societies such as American Bureau of Shipping, Norwegian Classification Society, German Lloyd's Register, and China Classification Society. The company has the production qualification for all grades of steel for marine and marine platforms.
At present, Hualing Xianggang has started mass production of high-strength steel plates Q890 and Q960, and has achieved breakthroughs in the production technology of thin gauge high-strength steel plates. On the basis of large-scale stable production of X80 grade pipeline steel, the company also actively promotes the optimization of ultra-thick, ultra-wide and ultra-thin pipeline steel production processes, in the field of special application pipeline steels such as acid resistance, large deformation resistance, deep sea and high cold zone.
