Efficient motor subsidy standards still have room for improvement

The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance recently announced the third batch of high-efficiency motors for energy-saving products. The catalog shows that there are 34 companies with a total of 9,966 models of motor products. We believe that the ratio of high-efficiency motors to China's newly-added small and medium-sized motors will gradually increase in the next two years. At the same time, there are still room for improvement in the implementation standards for high-efficiency motors.

According to statistics, on August 1, 2010, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance announced the first batch of high-efficiency motor promotion catalogs for the “energy-saving products Huimin Project”. On March 11 this year, the second batch of catalogs was announced.

Under the background of energy conservation and emission reduction, mandatory standards and incentive policies have determined that energy-efficient motors will comprehensively replace traditional inefficient motors in the future. It is expected that within the next two years, high-efficiency motors will account for more than 60% of new small and medium-sized motors in China, and the market for high-efficiency motors will It reached 48 to 57.6 billion yuan. We believe that there is still room for improvement in the final subsidy price implementation standard. Companies that have previously placed energy-saving motor capacity upgrades will have first-mover advantage and actively share the industry sentiment brought about by the support of national policies.
