The special project has applied for 90 patents for inventions, and has achieved a series of important technological breakthroughs and theoretical innovations with significant application effects. Especially in heavy oil catalytic cracking catalysts, hydrogenation series catalysts, desulfurization series catalysts and catalytic key base materials have made considerable progress; heavy oil catalytic cracking catalysts are sold to the United States for the first time; gasoline and diesel hydrogenation technology has become the national IV gasoline and diesel oil quality The preferred technology for upgrading.
The refining industry is confronted with serious challenges such as the heavy crude quality of crude oil, environmental greening of the process, and high quality of product cleanliness. Refining catalysts are the key to the efficient conversion and clean use of oil. In order to increase the R&D intensity of the refinery catalyst core technology, PetroChina launched a major technology project for refining catalysts in August 2010. The scientific and technological project is led by the Petrochemical Research Institute, Lanzhou Petrochemical, Fushun Petrochemical, Southwest Oil & Gas Field Company, China Petroleum University, Dalian Petrochemical, Daqing Petrochemical, Dalian Xitai, Changqing Petrochemical, Urumqi Petrochemical, Hohhot Petrochemical and other related catalysts R&D, production and Application units share the burden. After more than one and a half years of research undertaken by more than 700 research personnel from 21 undertaking units, the eight topics and 33 topics have achieved remarkable progress. Industrial production of 12 catalysts and industrial applications of 6 catalysts have been completed, and the completion rate is over 60%. This has played a strong supporting role in the development of PetroChina's refining and chemical business.
According to the person in charge of the China PetroChina Special Management Office, the next step will be to accelerate the development of catalyst technology for Class V gasoline and diesel, strengthen the research on efficient catalytic conversion of heavy oil, and comprehensively upgrade CNPC's innovative capabilities in the field of refining series catalysts.
It is reported that the overall goal of this special science and technology project is to successfully develop and produce core catalysts for catalytic cracking, hydrogenation, and sulfur recovery, to comprehensively improve the R&D capacity, technical level, and market competitiveness of China's refining catalysts, and the overall technology of refining catalysts.
