Since March, heavy rains have continued to occur throughout Jiangxi Province, and the water level of the rivers and lakes in the province has risen rapidly. The province has entered the flood prevention state nearly one month in advance.

Meteorological data show that since the beginning of this year, the average rainfall in Jiangxi Province has reached 334 millimeters, which is 70% more than the same period in normal years, ranking third in the same period of history. In particular, from March 1 to 5 at 8 o'clock, the average rainfall in Jiangxi Province is 114 mm. The first in the same period of the calendar year, the water level of the rivers and rivers in the province has risen rapidly. Overflows have occurred in some small and medium-sized rivers, and the level of major rivers has generally risen by 3 to 5 meters. Normally, Jiangxi will enter the flood season in early April. However, the recent continuous heavy rainfall has caused the province to enter the state of flood prevention in advance.
