BASF will end its contraction in September

BASF announced that the company’s headquarters will end the “time-out” work schedule in September in view of the current market stability at a relatively low level. In June, chemical giant BASF introduced a shortened time-work system for 1,000 employees in Ludwigshafen. The estimated time of implementation was four months. At the end of July, the number of employees in this sector was reduced by 300. BASF’s spokesman said: “Over Germany, more than 2,000 BASF German employees are working under the system, but by the end of July this number has dropped to 1,600.”
