Demand falls Bosch UK factory faces closure

Comprehensive foreign reports, the global auto parts giant Bosch (Bosch) recently announced that due to the decline in car demand, next year Bosch will close the factory in Wales, Wales, when there will be 900 workers will face unemployment.

A Bosch Press spokesman said: “ Bosch Welsh factory supplies alternators for BMW, Mercedes-Benz and other truck manufacturers, which are affected by the economic downturn and global consumers’ demand for small, fuel-efficient vehicles. Preference, however, is the most significant decline in the demand for luxury cars and trucks in these customer segments. This is the main reason why Bosch chose to close the Welsh factory.”

After the closure of the Bosch Wales factory, part of the production capacity will be transferred to the Bosch Hungarian factory. In addition to Wales, Bosch has four other factories in the UK.

Bosch headquarters is located in Stuttgart, Germany. In 2009, Bosch cut a total of 10,000 workers worldwide, leaving only 17,000 workers.
